FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the cost for the first appointment?

We will not charge a fee for the first appointment in the event that you decide not to proceed with your claim immediately following that appointment.

If I do decide to make a claim, what will my costs be?

One of our staff will discuss costs with you at the first appointment. Generally, we agree to defer the payment until the conclusion of your claim.

What if I do not get any compensation?

At the first appointment one of our staff will advise you whether it is recommended that you pursue a claim. Generally, if we recommend a claim and you don't receive any compensation then we will not charge a fee for our professional services.

Who pays for the cost of obtaining medical reports to support my case?

Wherever possible, we will endeavour to get your medical professional report(s) paid by the insurance company. Alternatively, you may be eligible for a grant of legal aid to cover the costs. If one of the above options cannot be arranged you will need to fund the cost of any medical reports to support your case. If this is not possible we will discuss other possible funding arrangements.

Is there any risk in arranging an initial appointment?

No. Our aim at your initial appointment is simply to take instructions from you about your case and then give you advice as to your options.

What should I do if I receive a settlement offer from the insurance company?

Make a no obligation appointment to discuss the merits of the settlement offer with us prior to accepting it.
